Roosevelt Pitt is a twenty year veteran author, designer, publisher and entrepreneur. Pitt is owner of AMARA Entertainment Inc…an innovative company created to formed, produce and distribute ethnic superhero comic books to fill the void left by the lack of positive African American heroes in the market place. Roosevelt has written children books, graphic novels and movie scripts for his company and others throughout his twenty year career. He enjoys speaking about the importance of creativity and the fundamentals of living a healthy life style.

Pitt owned his first comic book publishing company at age 22. He has been recognized for his accomplishments and excellence as a publisher by Newsweek, USA Today, Business North Carolina, Fox News and Entertainment Tonight. His experience in all aspects of advertising, promotions, direct mail, writing, talent management, creative development, design and publishing are used as he directs this multidimensional concept…“Purge” among numerous other characters in the super hero genre.

For over twenty years, Pitt’s creative talent, publishing strength and entrepreneurial spirit has been directed as an advocate and expert in motivating children and parents around the country by teaching measurable core principles to increase the awareness of quality African American heroes. He also lead a crusade to encourage healthy lifestyles by instructing others to increase their food knowledge has been embraced by schools, health expos, non profit organizations and churches. He has written volumes of articles for printed and online publications demonstrating how parents can implant practices in their kids from birth to age five to avoid the traps of childhood obesity. His ongoing crusade also includes the creation of superhero characters of color to encourage reading, and self esteem building. Pitt has teamed with noted organizations such as the YWCA of Winston-Salem, Children’s International Obesity Foundation, BET Foundation, The Junior League of High Point, and Stokes Partnership for Children, the Work Family Resource Center and the Maya Angelo Research Center for Health Equity.

In addition Roosevelt brings his experience as a father of five young children from ages one to ten. He understands the parent’s plight when it comes to developing quality heroes to inspire young children. Roosevelt has a wealth of knowledge as a publisher, researcher, motivational speaker and most importantly a parent who lives the experience daily.
